The power of romanticising life - living like a main character

Why I want to romanticize my life  You know those people who wake up at sunrise, sip their coffee by the window and somehow make walking down the street soo cinematic. Yeah… that’s not me. I struggle to wake up in the morning, wear whatever is in front of my closet and trip over absolutely nothing atleast twice. But I have been thinking- what if life could feel more movie like? What if the secret to being happy isn’t for good things to happen but to romanticize small things? So I am challenging myself to romanticize life for a week - to see if small changes make my life more aesthetic or will I just end up embarrassing myself . And so can you.. The rules of the challenge  1. Slow down - no more rushing through things  2. Bring the main character energy - walk like you are coming out of a movie, look out of the window like you are dramatically reflecting on you life and pretend like your playlist is your movie’s soundtrack. 3. Making the mundane special - it is all ...

Vision boards 101- Dream it, See it, Achieve it

Let’s be real- if manifesting worked instantly, my fridge would fill itself, my homework would solve itself and I would wake up to have long and silky hair, but life doesn’t work that way. But apparently, if you stare at pictures of you dream long enough, your brain gets the hint and starts making it happen( atleast according to scientists). This is where vision boards(the closest thing to magic we have) comes in. Hear me out, vision boards are like Pinterest but in real life. Sounds good? Let’s do this  What is it? -  Vision boards are like mood boards, it’s all about what you want in life. It’s basically pictures, quotes and random doodles that represents your dreams, all in one board.  1. Decide what you want  Before you go full on arts and crafts mode, figure out what you are manifesting. Ask yourself:  * What is my main goal for the year? (aced exams, healthier body etc) * Who do i want to be?(gym rat, valedictorian , business man etc ) * What’s stoppi...

Sibling wars - the roller coaster life with siblings

If you have siblings, congratulations!  - you’ve basically been living in a reality tv show ( like big boss) your entire life. One minute you’re laughing over an inside joke that no one understands, the next you’re fighting over who’s the favourite child. Growing up with siblings is unpredictable, chaotic , dramatic and occasionally violent. The battle of personal space ( you never win ) Let’s be real- privacy doesn’t exist with siblings. Your room? Not really yours.Your personal diary? The best selling novel in their eyes. Your stationary? Community property. Everytime you scream “  Get out of my room!!”  They somehow find a reason to invade your space. But sometimes when you’re having a really bad day, their uninvited presence in your room is the best thing that happened that day. From small fights to unbreakable bond  Sibling fights can vary from “ you are chewing too loud!” Or “ you stole my snacks!”. No matter how dramatic the fight was , y...

The power of words - the secret to communication

Have you ever sent a text to someone , immediately regretted it and then watched in horror as the little “Read” notification sealed your fate? Or tried to crack a joke only for everyone to stare at you liked you have confessed to a crime? Yeah, communication is tricky  Why is communication important, you ask? Here’s the thing- words are powerful. They help making friends, answering the questions in class, winning arguments against your siblings ( without starting a World War III ) and to get you out of awkward situations. Strong communication isn’t just about talking ; it’s about expressing yourself in a way to make people listen and understand you.  The impact of your words :-  1. Words can build or break relationships-a simple “thank you” or “I appreciate you” can make a persons day but careless words can leave scars. So treat someone how you want to be treated.  2. Confidence with clarity - ever felt nervous while speaking or stuttered while you spoke? That...

No plan? Lost? Confused? No problem- life still works out

“What are you planning to do in your life?” “Which stream are planning to choose?” I have been asked this a lot of times. And you are likely been there too…either in school event , family gatherings or a random relative or a friend asked this. You probably smiled awkwardly and threw out a safe answer “ummm….something related to tech” and immediately changed the subject. Guess what ?…that’s totally fine. 1. Nobody actually has it all together ( even if they pretend to) Let’s be real, a lot of people look  like they have their lives all figured out . The straight A student with the dream college in mind or that one friend who has set to be an entrepreneur since they were 5.  But here’s the truth, most of them are just winging it. Yup, even the adults( well that was shocking)- the ones who pay bills and file taxes- they are still figuring it out as they go.life is a chaotic and an unpredictable adventure , no two roads Look the same. 2. You are not behind , you’re just livin...
