The power of romanticising life - living like a main character

Why I want to romanticize my life

You know those people who wake up at sunrise, sip their coffee by the window and somehow make walking down the street soo cinematic. Yeah… that’s not me. I struggle to wake up in the morning, wear whatever is in front of my closet and trip over absolutely nothing atleast twice.

But I have been thinking- what if life could feel more movie like? What if the secret to being happy isn’t for good things to happen but to romanticize small things? So I am challenging myself to romanticize life for a week - to see if small changes make my life more aesthetic or will I just end up embarrassing myself . And so can you..

The rules of the challenge

1. Slow down - no more rushing through things

2. Bring the main character energy - walk like you are coming out of a movie, look out of the window like you are dramatically reflecting on you life and pretend like your playlist is your movie’s soundtrack.

3. Making the mundane special - it is all about changing your perspective- making small things special instead of boring tasks. Eating food?Plate it nicely.

4. Adding some aesthetic touches - making your life Pinterest worthy

5. Gratitude and reflection- write down things that make you happy or things you are greatful for instead of overthinking about a conversation you had.

What you can do these 7 days

1. Embrace self care and indulgence

- Treat yourself

- Prioritise self care

- Make vision boards

2. Find beauty in the ordinary

- Spend time in the nature

- Take photos

- Create a playlist

3. Practice positivity

- Do things for others

- Dance

- Read books

- Bake or cook something

What i hope to learn

Will this make my life more exciting? Or will I end up dramatically staring out the window overthinking my entire existence? Either way, I am about to find out and so will you.

Stay tuned - I will share my experience soon.

How tiny shifts can lead to massive impacts

You know how that one decision-like hitting the snooze button when your alarm goes off or actually choosing to get out of bed, can change the whole vibe of the day?Well… life is not any different. What if I told you that the biggest changes in your life does not come from drastic changes or decisions, it comes from small shifts you barely notice. Here’s how 1. The one degree change theory It’s those small, almost insignificant changes in our life ( good or bad) that over time leads to significant and an impactful difference.  If a ship starts from Los Angeles to New York but its course is shifted by even one degree you would reach a completely different city- miles away from your actual destination. The same rule applies in real life. The small changes that may seem insignificant but over time it can change your whole trajectory. 1 degree of good change - success  Eg - Drinking more water ➡️  more energy ➡️ better workouts ➡️ healthier body 1 degree of bad change- slow decli...

But guess what, people are not born with confidence,it is a skill they develop and so can you!  *Think of confidence as a superpower - it helps you. Now you might be thinking, how to unlock  this superpower? 1. Embrace new experiences  Stepping out of your comfort zone, trying out new activities can unleash you’re hidden talents and interests. Whether it is joining a new club, trying out new sports and so on . Every experience contributes to personal growth and confidence  2. Practice self compassion  Treat yourself with kindness, especially during difficult times. Understand your emotions ,without being harsh on yourself. 3. Focus on the effort, not perfection  Making mistakes is a natural way of learning. Instead of thriving for perfection, concentrate on the efforts you put. Celebrate the small wins, it motivates y...

Setting goals as a teen

Let’s be honest - goal setting sounds easy theoretically but in reality , is it? One moment I feel very productive ,motivated and ready to wake up early. The next moment I am scrolling through YouTube and feeling so unproductive. As a teen managing school, exams, extracurricular ,friends and goals may seem impossible. But setting goals is not being overwhelmed or having it all figured out-it’s about growing from your mistakes and living the life as you want to.So if you have a tough time setting goals ,this is how I try to set goals(and achieve them)and navigate through the chaos and challenges life brings. 1. Start now, even if it’s messy Many people put off setting goals just because they are waiting for “ the perfect time ”-I’ll start tomorrow….next week….next month. Ring a bell? Honestly, there is no perfect time to start. If you wait till you are completely ready, you probably will never begin. You don’t have to have it all figured out to just take the first step.Even messy st...
